Description
Izzi blends the old elegance of Hollywood with the notion of deconstructing gender stereotypes. Expect empowering movements that celebrate strength and confidence for everyone, in a supportive and inclusive space.
Learn a selection of dances over the term – from Foxtrot to Tango and Samba to Jive. Get ready for a joyful cardio workout without even realising you’re exercising!
Traditionally a partner-style genre of dance but no need to bring along a partner to this class as we will all be learning both the “lead” steps and the “follow” steps. Plus, we will be creating a routine designed to be dance solo over the course of the 12 weeks. Solo dancers not only welcome, but positively encouraged as we want to remove as many barriers as possible for anyone wanting to learn Ballroom & Latin American dance.

Plus, an exclusive performance from top equality dancers, Darren Whitby and Vishesh Mehta.

Things to consider
Please ensure you have had your 6-week postnatal GP check-up before attending. 12 weeks recommended for C-section recovery.
Baby-carrier/sling fit checks by a certified baby-wearing peer supporter.
How old does my child have to be?
The class generally caters for children from 2 months old - 3 years. We understand that your older little ones might not want to be carried all the time, so we have a dedicated space for them to play in the corner or they can join in.
What Is a Babywearing Dance Class?
A babywearing dance class allows parents to take part in light exercise and simple dance routines while their baby is carried securely in a sling or baby carrier.
The classes are carefully designed to be postnatal-friendly, making them suitable for parents who have had their 6-week postnatal check (12 weeks after a C-Section) and been cleared to exercise.
Each class includes:
Gentle warm-up
Simple dance-inspired routines
Strength and stability movements
Music to lift your mood and boost energy
Time to socialise and connect with other parents
